There was talk of a Mad Max TV Show in the early 80's, after RW was released. After contract talks, and feasibility studies, the premise of the show was altered, and the pilot was filmed as "Knight Rider." No, this is not a joke.

It's being played off the DVD -- they call the Movie Palace a "Digital Event Theatre" meaning they can project DVD, streaming video, DIVX etc.
