Re: Finally got to see Furiosa! (spoilers)
Not sure I agree on that, I think having a separate yet similar character makes sense so that in FR Furiosa sees something familiar in Max and thus can work well with him when her back is to the wall, and when he refuses to come with the Vuvalini into the salt flats she feels let down. It also flesh...

More details about the motorbikes in the openning sequence?
I've tried searching for some solid information about the bikes used in the opening sequence, but come up empty handed. There's plenty about Dementus' rotary engined chopper, and tid-bits about the other bikes used by his gang, but nothing on the Thunder Bike or the other two. It feels like a real s...

Re: Finally got to see Furiosa! (spoilers)
Thinking more about the stowaway sequence, I wonder if the reason it doesn't feel as solid is because at that point the only character we really feel we know is Furiosa. Other named characters have had a line or two of dialogue, but no moment that really let you know who they are. The Buzzards only ...

Re: A quick thought regarding FR vocabulary
Absolutely, the War Rig in Furiosa felt very "extra" (to use today's vernacular) whereas the Fury Road one only had flourishes that perhaps helped intimidate foes. I thought it was a nice touch that the shiny and chrome rig had nods towards Norse symbology which ties into the War Boys &quo...

Re: A quick thought regarding FR vocabulary
I was specifically thinking of it being pointed out that the citadel didn't understand the meaning of the word "abundance", but in Fury road there being a pretty varied lexicon in use. It felt like a little nod to language similar to Beyond Thunderdome's kids having a limited / skewed voca...

A quick thought regarding FR vocabulary
This was just a shower thought from the other day, is Immortan Joe's use of "Mediocre" from getting his hands on Dementus' history man by the end of the events in Furiosa? Would this apply to any other words used within the citadel in Fury Road? I'm picturing Immortan Joe asking for more i...

Finally got to see Furiosa! (spoilers)
Well, I finally managed to lay my hand on a copy in English and I have to say that I completely understand what some people have said on here - it's a good movie, not a masterpiece. I loved the introduction with bikes across the dunes and a desperate chase of both parties improvising solutions to ke...

Re: AutoPlus: No Kill Car Shelter in France Builds Mad Max Cars
Seems like a good idea, similar to whats been happening in the Hot Rod community for years - namely use an old shell over a new chassis. So many of those old American cars used to rot out underneath, if they can be body-swapped onto 4x4 chassis easily then have at it (it would be hard to do here bec...
