Correct.
I've seen about half the trailers and it looks pretty damn good
well of course they're going to make it look good in a trailer!

Re: What do the critics say?

Explain yourself please. Are you trying to say Fury Road is pandering again to a younger generation or to women? You'll see. The Ewoks of Fury Road .... Again explain yourself instead of dodging the question. And I have seen the film but I'm now strongly beginning to question if you have. I t...

Re: What do the critics say?

From Drew's Theron interview article. The most startling thing about "Fury Road" is that it is unrepentantly feminist, but without treating that idea like an agenda. http://www.hitfix.com/motion-captured/charlize-theron-on-the-unexpected-feminist-kick-of-mad-max-fury-road And from someone...

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road Theatrical Teaser Trailer #1

Didn't think about it in trailer 2 (teaser) until I saw the newer one with them locking steering wheels on but is Nux pulling the wheel off his moving car and holding it out the roof to trick/show off. Originally though they all had spare skull wheels as Idols, but now I think they take the wheel o...

Explain yourself please. Are you trying to say Fury Road is pandering again to a younger generation or to women? You'll see. The Ewoks of Fury Road ... I guess some will see it as pandering while others will see it as a refreshing change that's long overdue. What, exactly, was overdue? I did ...

Re: My Fury Road Timeline

I think the ambiguous connection / disconnection to the original franchise is a really clever marketing ploy that is working to the extreme...I mean how many threads on this forum ( or the whole internet for that matter ) would have never happened if this was a clear cut sequel or remake .Most of t...

Re: What do the critics say?

I have seen Mad Max: Fury Road, but embargoes mean I cannot tell you whether or not it's an instant classic or anything. I'm not even sure I can tell you that the film has incredibly deep and subtle themes, including a powerful and surprising feminist slant that takes the form of a critique of the ...

Re: MMBT - What difference an opening montage & chase scene?

BTD was a definite disappointment but had some shining moments. I'd grade it overall a 7 or 8. I liked the audition fight scene and the creativity of Thunderdome (heck, it created a iconic reference). Mel executed Max to perfection once again though and carried the film. He is just a perfect Max. Th...

Perhaps. But Star Wars and Marvel appeal to children. MM is for mature audiences.

Re: Please Rate FR. No Spoilers please!

Been a Mad Max fan since 1984. It's probably my favorite action hero or tied with Indiana Jones. Been waiting for MM4 since the day after MM3. I saw MM4 in prescreening a few day ago. I'd grade the series as follows. Mad Max: A+ (10) (only tiny editing or continuity errors) Road Warrior: A+ (10) (on...
