Re: Hardy`s Aussie accent............

Hard to tell but from the line Hardy spoke at the start of the trailer I thought it actually sounded half decent. The Aussie accent when put on by a non-Australian actor usually gets pretty bastardized and comes off sounding either British Cockney or South African.

Re: Have you seen a MAD MAX film in the theater?

My dad took me to see Thunderdome at the Drive-in here in Perth, Western Australia when it opened in 85.
Definitely have some nostalgia toward that one.

Re: First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!

Understanding that Fury Road exists outside of what came before, I still have to say I feel underwhelmed by the poster, hopefully it's a stand in. With the years of gestation and build up AND the mythology of Max I guess I was expecting to see something epic when the first poster image was released....

Great detail in that bike shot.
Looking like it will be a seriously desaturated colour palette for this film.

Re: First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!

I’m ambivalent about the de-saturated look. It is the done thing these days. I suppose it will depend on how washed out it is and whether it fits the tone of the film. Stylistically it will certainly be a departure from the previous trilogy, I just hope it still feels like a Mad Max film. I like the...

Re: First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!

Going by the pic, it looks more like a well worn but intricate mesh of robotics than a cobbled together mechanical prosthetic... but it is a slightly different world to the original trilogy.

Re: Fury Road Poster Art

My new wallpaper! You're a true artist, man. I like the AMSEL colors and composition of your work, very Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Thanks mate, yeah Amsel's work for Thunderdome and Raiders of the Lost Ark was fantastic. The style of those like him and Struzan is becoming increasingly rare in toda...

Re: Gyro Captain & Jedediah

I agree, in the movie they appear to be the same person. When he was knocked off the camel train Max never saw what hit him. From the way the incident is shot in the film at least, there is no way he could have known who stole his vehicle and belongings. And, although in Barter Town Jebediah follows...
