I've been using a light blue T-shirt that I got from Sports Authority. It is made by Russell. The color appears to be something in between the Bonds shirt and the Michaels shirt. A few washes has lightened the color up a bit.

Re: Gyro Captain coat
Thanks for the idea. I didn't find much under 'car coat', but it did lead me off in another direction and I found some things that were promising. Now I just have to decide if I want to drop $450 on a costume piece.

Gyro Captain coat
Gang, I'm working on a Gyro Captain costume and I'm trying to find a good coat to use. I have a brown leather trench coat, but it's not quite right and would require a good bit of modification to be accurate. Anybody know of a good source for the trench coat? Re: Building the Humungus machine
I had the privilege of seeing Dave's Humungus vehicle up close at the Dragon*Con parade this past Saturday in Atlanta. It looks just as good in person as it does in the photos. Re: Max style boots
I used the 17" Chippewa engineer boots mentioned on the site for my MFP boots. I modded the straps to more resemble the Rossiter style. I think they came out pretty good. I'll post some pics of them soon. BootsUSA.com carries factory blemish boots at really good prices. I paid $129 for my boots...

Re: WTB MM1 Jacket Shoulder caps
Hey, gang. I'm new to the board and this is my first post. I just recently finished my MFP jacket and I used the plastic off of CLC #V230 knee pads for the shoulder caps. http://www.clccustomleathercraft.com/products/detail002.asp?partNo=V230 They came out pretty good, but there are a couple 'cons' ...
