I would like the see the remnants of a city somewhere in this movie. They'd have to CGI that, and it would be cool.

I think a flachback to explain the disaster and sum up the last few movies would make a good exposition for the movie. most people who see this new one will never have seen any of the others.

Maybe the berserkers wanted leather clothes and cool cars, and since the cops had both why not take 'em from them. And some of them were probably ex-cops. Some cops are bullys and they would naturally become bandits.
