Re: Need ideas for Mad Max parade fun

Lemme know if you need any organizational help since I'll be there (and not spur of the moment like last year).. otherwise ya, I think a tipjar would be a good idea, I'd pitch in since I know how far you have to haul The Machine, and if nothing else, I want to help make sure you keep coming back to ...

Re: New Mad Max Game

'Rage' was a game being worked on by iD (makers of the Doom and Quake series led by game-dev John Carmack).. but it turns out Bethesda's parent company (Zenimax, which has a scary list of people on it's Board of Directors btw) bought iD last year; as such, I believe they passed RAGE on towards Bethe...

Re: Building the Humungus machine

Friend of mine took a couple parade photos from her hotel room:

This is the best of the 2 that have The Machine; good for a different angle that you don't get from on-the-ground-photos :]

I'm on the laughing side
No no.. 25% would be 1/4.. that one is 0.024% done.. hence only being like 4 emblems...

I'm definitely laughing at this one.

Re: Dragon*Con Parade Videos!

There was a problem with my PA system, as in you can't really understand what I'm saying. It doesn't help that it's an old system and Humungus already has some speaking problems. But there was no problem hearing Ken! He rocked! I'm going to look into getting a new, kick ass PA system for November. ...

Re: Apsiring Toadie needs your help....

What did you try dying the fur and sweater with? Might be able to help with that. I think the sides of Toadie's hat were suede - no? Ya, probably suede now you mention it..doh. Re: sweater.. it's all cotton, it was originally a light grayish, gave it a light bleach wash to lighten it, then tried va...

Re: Apsiring Toadie needs your help....

Some promised photos of what i've got so far.. as I said before, finding some of the parts in the SE USA is proving a bit tough.. but I can upgrade as I come across them. So alot of the emblems will be inaccurate. Hat and Glasses.. side emblems way wrong, and the fur should be darker.. but you gotta...

Re: Max's Gieger counter

The pokey-out-bit at the bottom looks like a standard gieger counter detachable probe.. (they look alot like pencil microphones). The gauge/display could either be from an actual Geiger/civil-defense meter or even just a standard VU meter from anything.. cheap substitute might be an old multi-meter....

Re: roadwar costumes

Traditional Roman style was horse hair, with glue to keep it up (I image it's the same tbh as proper Max style).. you can also probably use synthetic hair from your local beauty store if you can't find actual horse hair.
