How close are you to Southern California? Drive that thing out to Wasteland Weekend 2012!
We'll give you free admission for two. I know, that doesn't begin to cover the cost of gas, but at least it helps.

Re: The Jacket
Pursuit Special - I believe you're thinking of Mel's MM2 jacket, whereas we're talking here about the MM1 jacket. My understanding is that George does still have the outfit from MM2/MM3. In fact, I was told by a senior MM4 crew member that they had the original MM2/3 outfit to look at when they were...

Re: The Jacket
Interesting. I don't know why there was any debate whether or not it was the same jacket in MM2, they're clearly different jackets, different patterns etc.. One thing this doesn't clear up is whether or not Max's jacket was leather or vinyl. It has often been said that only one jacket was leather (d...

Stevie (the lead singer) was at last year's Wasteland Weekend. You can see him wearing the spark plug shoulder pads in some of the WW2011 pics.

Hi, sorry I didn't see this sooner. The height sounds like they would work, but I'd have to see a picture to know how accurate they are etc.. It's also possible that they are narrow in the foot, but that could probably be fixed by cutting the foot stirrup in half and attaching them to the boot in tw...

Re: Who wants my MM2 Road Warrior knee pad
Thanks for the photo. Yes, that looks like a standard cricket pad. Still nothing like Max's knee pad. If Richard Taylor was right (and I'm assuming he was) then maybe the one they used for Max was an unusual style or something. Or perhaps even something sort of hand made. It's very likely there prob...

Re: All three versions of Max pose for a photo
And as a bonus, here's a photo of me with Warrior Woman (she's actually the wife of Thunderdome Max from the above photo). Oh, and you should know that we weren't able to have weapons at this particular promo event, so that did affect the accuracy of the costumes somewhat... (click on, or download t...

All three versions of Max pose for a photo
I don't believe I've ever seen all three movie versions of the Mad Max costume in one picture. Here you go.
