Re: Arbitrarily using a supercharger?

Don't forget about the second clutch that would need to be inside the drive cover. Sort of a tight fit with those 2 drive gears in there. ;)

Re: Gun Hobbyists

The Mini-14 isn't all it's hyped up to be. The AR is a more accurate platform. Getting factory parts for the Ruger can be a problem. Ruger doesn't like to sell spares to common citizens. Factory high-cap magazines are very expensive. The AR is like a toy Erector Set for adults. So many variations an...

Re: Gun Hobbyists

For a .223 platform, the AR-15 should be good for you. Infinite variations and spare parts are not a problem. I'm very partial to the AKS-74 in 5.45x39 too. AK's in .223 can be hit or miss depending on the builder. Then there is the stone axe reliable AKM-47. While it's not as accurate as the AR, it...

I actually enjoyed the opening race with the Viper and the Monte Carlo in Tokyo Drift. Loved seeing a super-car get center-punched on a culvert pipe even though I am a Mopar guy. :D

Re: Things I Learned From the Road Warrior/Trivia

Can anyone tell me what the cause of Max's shotgun misfire was supposed to be? To me it looked like the primer fired but the powder did not for some reason. Those rounds were older type made from paper. Paper-hulled shells are not very abuse friendly. They will absorb moisture and swell up, making ...

Re: speed is just a question of money-how fast can you go?

I saw something similar in a Speed Shop back in the late 70;s. 'Speed is just a question of money. We can make you as fast as your wallet can stand.'

Re: the blower set up

I've often wondered...suddenly forcing that much boost at a high rpm...? Your motor would blow. Besides what purpose would it serve to not just have it running all the time like all blowers are set up? Engines do run more efficiently with forced induction which would be more helpful in a place wher...

Re: 'Escape From New York' being rebooted

The original is a work of low-budget film making art. The production values were off the charts. Like Mad Max, it wouldn't have been the same film with a high budget. And I can't think of any actor who could pull off the role other then Kurt Russell anyways. Kurt was/is Snake Plisken.

Re: Aussie Mucle Cars

The street racing scene isn't like it used to be, especially since the emergence of the ricer boys. Those import guys seem to have no respect for anything. They'll race in residential areas and busy city streets. In my time, the late 1980's-early 1990's, we made great attempts to run somewhere far a...

Re: Aussie Mucle Cars

The rules for old car are differnt in each state in the U.S. most of the midwest states are more forgiving and have some nice options for registering a classic car. California has probly some of the most strict rules for older cars to be on the road. Some states do get a bit picky, but mostly for E...
