The Road Warrior and Mad Max were more like ensemble pieces with gritty character actors. Thunderdome tried the star thing with Tina Turner and we see how that turned out.

Does anyone know if the film that was going to be made in 2003 script was completely abandoned? I know Mel was going to be reprising his role at that point. Was the plot line for that movie totally abandoned and rewritten? Does anybody want to weigh in on if that 2003 movie or the direction the film...

Seeing as how there will be a different actor playing Max they obviously won't me able to show Mel's face.

Why on earth would you think this is a troll? A different actor is going to play Max Rockatansky so the biggest part of the franchise has changed already. The first three movies already will be nothing like Fury Road that much you can already count on.

I think with all the reboots, Batman, Superman, Terminator, The Incredible Hulk, that the original Mad Max would present a huge opportunity to start the franchise over with a new, young actor. Then to follow it up with quality sequels on a regular basis. Not waiting from 1985 to 2011! Imagine castin...
